What
Personal Pennants is a project on flag design ending with a pennant-making party! By taking it back to the basics, this will be a fun creative gathering that brings designers and non-designers together. We will go over flag design basics, then you can enjoy refreshments while you create your very own pennant made of canvas and felt that celebrates your challenges and accomplishments.
Why
I wanted to create an event for the people that have said to me, "oh, I could never do what you do - I'm not creative at all." I believe that everyone can be creative and design something meaningful. It doesn't have to be complicated. With flags, simple shapes and colors are symbolic. What better way to combine basic design and personal concepts than by creating flags?! Plus, we're getting away from the screens and using our hands to create. This will be refreshing for designers and non-designers alike.
